Collections
The major strengths of the Hancock Library collection are in:
General science
History and philosophy of science
Science policy
Chemistry
Mathematical and computing sciences
Physics
Psychology, biological and medical sciences
Forestry, geography, geology, earth and environmental sciences
Engineering and technology.
The Hancock Library also houses the Joseph Needham special collection.
Additional Library services
Ask at the Information Desk Level 1 for advice on using the catalogue, information about the collection, all loans enquiries and information about training programs which can assist in the use of the Library's information resources.
There are over 100 PC and Macintosh computers available for use by ANU students and staff are available in the Hancock Library.
There are bookable group study rooms available on level 3 with a variety of seating conducive to individual and group interaction. DVD players are available in 6 of the group study rooms and an additional 3 DVD players are available in the open study areas on level 3.
