Abstract
In electronics manufacturing, a lot of companies grows by “Electronics manufacturing service(EMS)", just like Foxconn. EMS companies make business by mass products in the small profit assembly and processing field. But does this business model adapt for parts maker ormaterial maker?
In this research, we study what risks and benefits for a small material carve-out company, and how protect the company by brand when this company license own patents and entrust manufacturing to other companies.
