One of the main benefits of the clusters are higher innovative performance. Recent research shows that companies do not benefit from the cluster equally, firms who are in the right networks which have useful knowledge flows are more innovative. This brings up the question of “which knowledge sources are more effective for innovation?" Literature suggest that while knowledge sharing within the cluster is crucial, too dense relations will cause lock-in and external sources are vital for innovation, and; the knowledge sources vary according to the knowledge base of the clusters. This study examines the types of knowledge sources and their relation to innovative performance with a regression model. The research was applied to two clusters in Turkey which have synthetic knowledge base.

Schönberger and Ramge (2019), as "the reorganization of capitalism in the age of big data", suggest the advent of data capitalism and data-rich markets, where the driving factors of market behavior replace money with digital data. They pointed out the scale effects, the network effects and the data feedback effects as the three key effects acting in the data-rich market. However, their concern is the institutional design for market efficiency, and the mechanism of the above effects and the examination of the interaction are not enough. This study builds an integrated model of two-side market and data-rich market, and examines the mechanism and features of the interaction between cross-side network effects and data feedback effects.

However, digital platforms are decentralized, intertwined with institutions, markets, and technologies and are difficult research objects. Among them, there is a strong possibility that the current platform is discussed in a non-digital world based on the existing theory. The solution of this problem is urgent. However, digital platforms compete on various technology architectures, making appropriate units of analysis difficult. So I focus on in this article: what is the difference between digital platforms and platforms? , what new issues are occurring?

One of the sources of this risk money for innovation is the “public-private fund" which was established mainly by government funding. One of them, the Innovation Network Corporation of Japan, has invested in and integrated three liquid crystal businesses, and Japan Display Inc. (JDI) has been established. However, JDI was deadlocked, against the intent of preventing technology outflow, and will survive with the financial support of the Taiwan and China fund. In addition to JDI's case, the “public-private fund" has repeatedly failed in investing in Sharp, replacing the management team of Renesas, or breaking up the organization of the Innovation Network Corporation of Japan. From these cases, the merits and demerits of the "public-private fund" were analyzed.

If a company or organization aspire to survive and grow in the medium to long term, it is generally desirable to aim for the realization of ambidexterity. However, because of some confusion, such as the conceptual positioning of innovation and the relationship with the execution process, making it difficult to understand the correspondence with actual corporate activities. This paper proposes a view point for realizing ambidexterity by organizing the relationship between exploration and exploitation in time series.

By the revision of the Local Autonomy Law in 1969, local governments must formulate a municipal basic design, basic plan, and implementation plan (so-called "comprehensive plan") for approximately 10 years. However, with the revision of the Local Autonomy Law in 2011, the obligation to formulate the comprehensive plan was abolished.
The theme of research is how the comprehensive plan will change in the face of changes in the social environment such as the declining birthrate and aging of the population, globalization, and rapid economic activity.
In this report, I will investigate and report on how the period of a municipal basic design and basic plan, which were defined as " approximately 10 years " has changed in the cities across the country.

Aiming to forecast elections with high accuracy and explainability, we devised an election forecasting framework using an AI technology "Wide Learning" developed by Fujitsu Laboratories. Conventional election forecasting methods strongly depend on the analyst's skill and information sources. On the other hand, our AI framework enables election forecasting to be universal due to the use of public information of candidate profiles and generally-used voting survey data as input data. Moreover, our AI technology can not only perform highly accurate forecasting but also discover important hypotheses about election results. We evaluate forecasting results about the Japanese House of Councillors election in 2019 by applying a model trained with data from that in 2016, and discuss the usefulness of the model.

However, the success rate of new products is not high. In particular, in order to make new products major success, it is necessary to go beyond the chasm created between early adopters and late adopters of new products. In this study, we assume that early adopters of new products are highly information sensitive consumers that have capabilities of high gathering and spreading information. We analyze the means by which highly information sensitive consumers recognize successful new products and have willingness to buy. There is a concern that Japan's economic strength is lessened due to a declining birthrate and a growing proportion of elderly people. Improving productivity is essential for sustainable development in Japan, and there is a discussion that an increase in minimum wage may contribute to productivity improvement of firms and industries. This is because higher minimum wage increases labor costs of firms, which provides corporate managers incentives for cost reduction. However, there is no clear conclusions from previous studies on this issue. This study applies stochastic frontier analysis to prefecture-level data and examines influence of minimum wage on productivity.

We conducted the factor analysis using the question items to obtain factors of consumption values and segment monitors based on the factor analysis. Next, we aggregate question about favorite fashion brands and we reveal key brands at each age and cluster.

In Japan's manufacturing industry, where high-mix low-volume production is mainstream, accurate indirect cost allocation in cost accounting is a serious problem. As a costing method for allocating indirect costs more accurately than standard costing performed when creating a balance sheet, although activity-based costing has been proposed, it is spread due to the relationship of measurement costs etc. It has not been As the problem of measurement cost is solved by the spread of IoT today, a new costing method suitable for IoT era and a cost planning framework using it are required. So, in this research, we show how to generate a price shift from human work blur using simulation, and propose a new cost calculation method considered in the IoT era and verify its accuracy.

Recently, the shared use of mobile tools has been expanding, such as bicycles and cars being provided in areas designated for rental bicycles. However, concentrating on mobile tools at a node is a critical issue. To resolve this problem, we use a BCMP network to calculate the average standby number and average waiting time for the mobile tools at each node, and then select an optimal node from among the candidate nodes. User trends and demand for usage of mobile tools are fluctuating, and in many cases, patterns cannot be considered using only basic statistical information such as averaging assuming stationarity. We try to realistically simulate by categorizing people into family, couple, child and adult, and so on.

In a platform business such as flea market application service, the increase of the number of sellers (buyers) induces the increase of the number of buyers (sellers) because of the cross-side network effects. Therefore, there exist problems for a platform provider whether to give more benefit to seller or buyer and how to do. This subject has not yet been fully investigated, although some researchers studied a preferential treatment method related to pricing. This study attempts to investigate an effective preferential treatment method other than pricing by analyzing user review of flea market applications.

The research focuses on the autonomous equity network of a company's overseas locations. This study demonstrates that a headquarters' performance is impacted by the autonomy and cultural distance of the host country. The analysis utilizes Hofstede dimensions that indicate the cultural traits, headquarters' financial data, and the automobile-related industries' investment data of Japanese enterprise locations as of 2014. Multivariate analysis is performed after quantifying the autonomous indicator through analyzing the equity network. As a result, the analysis reveals that headquarters' performance is influenced by cultural distance indirectly through the autonomy of the overseas locations. It represents a theoretical contribution to the theory of multinational corporations by showing the values of autonomy quantified from the network analysis.

This research demonstrates the effects of learner's homophily and diversity in groups on active speech in PBL (problem-based learning), which is one of the concepts in active learning. The date is questionnaires of the supply chain management game for business people. The multivariate analysis reveals that a higher homogeneity of the field in which the learner is interested and greater diversity of work experience, lead to an increase in the learner's active speech. The theoretical and practical implications of this study are in suggestions for team formation among businesspeople, for the promotion of active speech in learners based on organizational learning theory.

We'll propose a series of trading systems that use system trading in exchange trading as a trading method, and decide trading rules using AI. There are many constant algorithms used for trading. Complementary researchs have also been conducted to determine rules, such as introducing GA (genetic algorithm) to them. Especially in this research, we compare our trading system using by AI and evaluations that introduced GA and their simulations. The AI introduced in this study assumes deep learning, and the content of learning and its efficiency can introduce AI by explaining that the disadvantages of the system introduced GA can be complemented.

The aim of this study is to develop an educational program for students to learn supply chains. This study reports an effort aimed at providing different advantage from traditional lecture style. The effort is that students interview the company's supply chain activities, and then, prepare case study materials to learn SC management for students of the same generation. There are two expected effects. First of all, the students preparing materials can learn subjectively while talking to representitives at various supply chain sites; furthermore, by repeating questions and solutions through preparing the materials, they can acquire knowledge deeply. Secondly, we can provide students with easily accessible and attractive lectures with teaching materials made from the same level as them.
